"There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs". ~ Ansel Adams

I discovered my passion for photography when I became a regular at playing the role of the family photographer. It always enchanted me to capture momentary beauties with the lens – be it the breathtaking splendor of nature at a family outing, various moods of friends or the naughty twinkle in the eyes of a child. This passion, in time, took the shape of an obsession with the camera – it became my second love! None of my vacations / trips would be without one in my backpack. I passionately followed this hobby but it was only after my first exhibition that I decided to take it up more seriously. The exhibitions progressed to become an annual event on the country’s art calendar.

My motto behind doing these exhibitions is to bring joy to people’s lives. As a doctor I have seen so much pain and suffering in patients that I wanted to keep my sensitivity alive through some form or the other. Although my first passion is medicine, what completes me is my second love – photography. And what binds these two interests in the goal to help people be happy.

I have no formal training in photography. However, friends like Atul Kasbekar and Farzana Contractor provided ample inspiration and coached me on cameras and technology. Photography, since then, has been ensuring equilibrium between the body and mind for me. It keeps me connected to the incredible even when mired in the mundane. It gives me life beyond medicine. Photography is a technique to interpret images. It is true artistic expression that allows you to communicate beauty, sorrow, awe, joy, sadness, bliss, exhilaration, disillusionment and a lot more.

My inspiration? The biggest inspiration is my cause, which inspires me to enjoy creative skill and present the best of my abilities.
